A promotion for Mohawk was designed to help to quell fear of printing bold color on uncoated paper stock. Howry’s compelling theme was built around phobias, making the message fun to view, as well as a useful production guide.
Words that end in -phobia are originated from the Greek for fear or hatred. Such words include arachnophobia (fear of spiders), ablutophobia (fear of bathing) or anthrophobia (fear of flowers).
Howry’s creative concept for Mohawk shows a sampling of the many unusual diagnosed phobias. Doctors and psychologists have coined hundreds of phobias over the years and we list them on inside back cover of the booklet.
